Since 1983, the Association Lunetière Technologique (A.LU.TEC - technological eyeglasses manufacturing association) helps eyeglasses manufacturers to innovate and to improve the quality of their products with its testing laboratory. In 1995, the ALUTEC laboratory (set up in the Victor Bérard school) was created to enable industrials to check the compliance of their products with the EC standards (ophthalmological lenses and frames, sunglasses and lenses, ski goggles, eye-protection equipments, etc).
